PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani intelligence officials say a suspected U.S. missile strike has killed six militants in a tribal region along the Afghan border.
The attack hit a house on Tuesday in the Ghulam Khan area of North Waziristan, a major hideout for al-Qaida and Taliban groups focused on fighting U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.
North Waziristan has been the target of nearly all U.S. missile strikes on Pakistani soil this year.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to media on the record.
