ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis Blues forward T.J. Oshie is ahead of schedule in rehabilitation from a broken left ankle and the team believes he could return in late January around the All-Star break.

Oshie was leading the team with 10 points when he was hurt Nov. 10 at Columbus and has been skating daily the past few weeks. The original timetable projected a mid- to late February return.

Two other Blues forwards, Andy McDonald and David Perron, are out with concussions. The Blues added depth by signing free agent forward Marek Svatos to a one-year, two-way contract. The 28-year-old Svatos is a former 32- and 26-goal scorer with the Colorado Avalanche, but began this season playing in the top Russian league.
