Davidson defeats Saint Joseph’s (Maine) 108-39

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Jake Cohen had 16 points and all 13 Davidson players scored in a 108-39 rout of Saint Joseph’s (Maine) on Thursday night.

The Wildcats (7-5) were 41 of 69 from the field (59.4 percent), scored 48 points in the paint, 24 on second chances and 21 off of 16 turnovers.

Chris Czerapowicz chipped in 15 points, De’Mon Brooks 14, Jordan Downing 13 and Clint Mann 12 for Davidson, which improved to 25-2 against nonconference opponents in its past 27 contests.

It was the Wildcats’ highest point total since defeating Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.) 116-55 on Dec. 15, 2006. The 39 points allowed was the fewest since 37 against Fredonia St on Nov. 25, 2009.

Ten Wildcats scored in the first half as Davidson took a 55-21 halftime lead. Davidson held the Monks to just one field goal during the first 6:23 of the second half.

Zach O’Brien scored 15 points for the Division II Monks (5-3).
