Morehead State defeats Binghamton 80-74

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Kenneth Faried scored 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Morehead State to an 80-74 victory over Binghamton on Thursday night.

The Eagles (8-6), winners of 21 straight home games, led 40-30 at halftime thanks to a 17-for-30 shooting effort (56.7 percent) in the opening half.

Demonte Harper scored 22 points, Terrance Hill added 17 and Sam Goodman 10 for Morehead State, which finished 30 for 53 from the field (56.6 percent) and outrebounded the Bearcats 29-19.

Binghamton (3-9) shot 61.9 percent in the second half (13 of 21), but were outscored in the paint 42-20 as the Eagles dominated inside.

Greer Wright led the Bearcats with 22 points. Mahamoud Jabbi scored 15, Chretien Lukusa had 12 and Taylor Johnston 10.
