Rodgers scores 28, No. 19 Hoyas beat Clemson

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sugar Rodgers matched her season high with 28 points and Rubylee Wright scored a career-best 16 as No. 19 Georgetown defeated Clemson 75-54 Thursday night for their fifth straight win.

The Hoyas (12-3) pulled away by scoring the last six points of the first half for a 38-28 lead, then got 10 of the first 13 points after the break. Tia McGee scored seven of her 13 points in the big run,

Rodgers made her five 3-pointers of the second half.

Kirstyn Wright scored 17 points and Sthefany Thomas added 13 points to lead the Lady Tigers (6-8), who have dropped six straight games. Their last four losses have been by an average of 26.5 points.
