WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A man accused of fatally shooting four relatives in Florida after Thanksgiving dinner has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

A lawyer for Paul Merhige (MAYR’-ihj) on Monday entered a written plea of not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Merhige is due in court Friday. His attorney will argue for a gag order and to keep all evidence in the case sealed until it is concluded.

Merhige is accused of killing four family members after a Thanksgiving dinner in Jupiter. He then fled, prompting a monthlong manhunt.

Merhige was arrested in the Florida Keys on Jan. 2. He remains held without bond at the Palm Beach County jail.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
