SEATTLE (AP) — A judge has convicted a 16-year-old boy of murder and attempted murder in the shooting of two men during a drug deal at a Federal Way park.

King County prosecutors wanted to try him as an adult, but the boy who was 15 at the time went to Juvenile Court.

The maximum sentence prosecutors are seeking would confine him until age 21. He was found guilty Wednesday and will be sentenced next month in Seattle.

A 17-year-old co-defendant, Domanique More, pleaded guilty to murder and assault charges last November in adult court for the December 2008 shooting in Alderdale Park. He was sentenced to 33 years in prison.
