The Ridgefield Garden Club planted 1,500 donated tulip bulbs in two city parks and various other locations across town.

The bulbs should sprout this spring in Davis Park and near the gazebo in Ridgefield Community Park. Flowers will also spring up in front of the post office, near the entrance sign at the high school and in planters scattered around historic downtown.

Van der Salm Bulb Farm in Woodland donated the three varieties of bulbs, worth about $350, to the city.

The garden club is made up of community members dedicated to the beautification of the city’s streets and parks.
