Prep basketball: Skyview girls wrap up league title

The Skyview Storm wrapped up their second consecutive 4A Greater St. Helens League girls basketball title on Monday with a 54-40 win over visiting Kelso.
Macy Mukensnabl had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Katie Swanson finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds for Skyview (14-5, 8-1).
The Storm held off Kelso’s second-half comeback and finished with a 15-8 fourth-quarter advantage.
Carly Perkins led Kelso (14-5, 5-4) with 13 points.
Heritage 46, Mountain View 41 (2OT) — Heritage outlasted Mountain View to remain tied with Evergreen for second place in the 4A GSHL.
Mountain View, seeking its first league win, forced the first overtime with a basket with 3.3 seconds to play in regulation.
Heritage (13-5, 6-3) pulled away in the second OT by hitting its first shot and then making free throws to seal it.
Nettie Gould had 13 points for Heritage and Tashawna Gordon added 12.
Mountain View’s Carly Holboke led all scorers with 22 points.
Evergreen 48, Battle Ground 39 — Justine Joudrey had 22 points, five assists and seven rebounds for the visiting Plainsmen, who led by 11 at halftime. Shamerica Scott added 14 points and 14 rebounds.
For Battle Ground, Kiley Thomas hit four 3-pointers and scored 15 points, and Haley Grossman grabbed 13 rebounds.
The Tigers pulled within 37-34 in the fourth quarter, but Evergreen outscored them 11-5 the rest of the way.
Union 55, Fort Vancouver 21 — The visiting Titans outscored the Trappers 39-9 over the middle two quarters.
Mandy White and Bre Sorensen each scored 12 points for Union, while Janae Davis added 10.
Columbia River 54, Hudson’s Bay 46 — Kass Cloyd scored 16 points and Lauren Heller had 15 as the Chieftains won at Hudson’s Bay.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Lexi Gleason’s 26 points. Brittany Davis had 12.
Hockinson 43, Ridgefield 41 — Ashley Haden hit the go-ahead basket with about 20 seconds to play and the Hawks closed to within a game of second place in the 2A GSHL.
Haden finished with 14 points along with teammate Amanda McCarty. Jordan Rennaker added 10.
Shelby Williams led Ridgefield in scoring with 20 points, and Nichole Kates had 15.
Woodland 66, Washougal 45 — Emily Smith scored 24 points to lead the visiting Beavers. Woodland used a 20-9 second quarter to take command. Alicia McElroy scored 14 points and Maddie Owen added 11 for the Panthers.
Stevenson 39, White Salmon — Kendra Rowe scored 15 points to lead the host Bulldogs. Jen Rathgaber added 10 points, and Chelsea Zibolky had 13 rebounds.
