YELM, Wash. (AP) — The Thurston County sheriff’s office is deciding Monday where to go next in the search for a man who disappeared while camping at Deschutes Falls.

Friends say 20-year-old Jay Nelson of Rainier camped Friday night on a cliff and may have fallen into the river.

The search began Saturday and divers searched river pools Sunday with no sign of the missing man.

The sheriff’s office says the property where the group went camping is a former private park that was purchased by the county and has been closed to the public for years.
