Mckinsey Rodgers was 7 years old when what she thought was a hurt leg from playing in the backyard turned out to be a bone cyst in her upper thigh bone.

Rodgers, now a senior at Camas High School, wants to give back by organizing a benefit golf tournament for Shriners International, the group that helped her through recovery.

The four-person scramble tournament will be held on March 13 at Camas Meadows Golf Club. Tickets are $100 per person for 18 holes of golf, golf carts, range balls and a barbecue after the tournament. There will also be a raffle during the barbecue and an auction for a basketball signed by the Trail Blazers. To sign up, contact Rodgers at ashdownlea@aol.com or 360-834-6116.
