Golik wins endorsement from police, firefighters
Friday, February 26, 2010
Clark County Deputy Prosecutor Tony Golik has been endorsed for the elected prosecutor position by Vancouver’s firefighter and police officers as well as the Portland Police Association.
A press release from the Clark County Prosecutors’ Union said the Vancouver Police Officer Guild and Vancouver Firefighters’ Union had endorsed Golik. The Portland Police also were backing the deputy prosecutor, the press release said.
Golik, a deputy prosecutor assigned to major crimes, is one of four candidates in the elected prosecuting attorney race this year. Longtime Clark County Prosecutor Art Curtis announced in December that he was stepping down at the end of the year.
