COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Police in Coeur d’Alene are investigating a possible hit-and-run crash that left a Rathdrum man with several broken bones.
Dale Blankenship says his 38-year-old brother, Charles Blankenship, was hit by a vehicle early New Years Day, and that the people inside stopped to drag him off the road before driving away. He says his brother was unconscious for a couple of hours before he came to and dialed 911.
The Coeur d’Alene Press reports that Charles Blankenship’s legs and ankles were broken and he sustained a head wound in the collision.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
