JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski patroller is being treated at an Idaho hospital after being buried in an avalanche.

The resort says Mark Wolling (WAHL’-ing) was caught in the slide Wednesday morning as he and other patrollers conducted avalanche hazard reduction work in the Cheyenne Bowl.

The resort says the 58-year-old was buried in the sliding snow and fell over a cliff. Patrollers found Wolling buried in about 6 feet of snow.

Patrollers conducted CPR and used an Automated External Defibrillator while readying Wolling for transport to treatment in Jackson.

Wolling was taken by plane Wednesday afternoon to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Details on Wolling’s condition weren’t immediately available.
