TILLAMOOK, Ore. (AP) — The Tillamook County medical examiner identified a body found at the base of a cliff in Cape Lookout State Park as a missing Illinois man.
The Oregon State Police said Friday that a car associated with David Goings of Lombard, Ill., had been found at the park this week. Troopers learned the 45-year-old had been reported as missing and possibly suicidal.
Tillamook deputies and the U.S. Coast Guard joined the state police in a search for the man whose body was found Thursday afternoon on a rocky section of beach north of Camp Meriwether.
The medical examiner found no indication that the death resulted from a crime.
