LOS ANGELES (AP) — A 911 call reveals the frantic efforts to revive Brittany Murphy on the morning she died.

Murphy’s mother, Sharon, is heard crying and telling a fire dispatcher that the actress wasn’t breathing. The dispatcher gave directions to Sharon Murphy on how to try to revive Murphy.

Sharon Murphy tells the dispatcher that no one saw how Murphy collapsed, and says the “8 Mile” and “Clueless” actress had been ill and feeling dizzy.

Sharon Murphy can also be heard yelling mournfully at one point on the eight-minute call, pleading with her daughter to “please come back.”

Brittany Murphy was found in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home on Dec. 20 and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Coroner’s officials are awaiting the results of toxicology tests to determine how she died.
