CLEVELAND (AP) — Power has been restored at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, but the status of flights scheduled for Sunday afternoon and evening remains uncertain.

FirstEnergy Corp. spokeswoman Tricia Ingraham says crews were able to replace a pole that caught on fire and knocked out electrical lines to the airport early Sunday morning.

The repair meant power was restored to the airport about three hours earlier than had been expected.

Airport spokeswoman Jackie Mayo says passengers should check with individual airlines to see if any flights will resume Sunday.

Mayo had said earlier in the day that once power was returned it would take awhile after that for airport operations to resume.
