SEATTLE (AP) — A man accused of killing his girlfriend and their baby daughter in Seattle pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder charges in King County Superior Court.

The 29-year-old Daniel Hicks was arrested in Santa Cruz, Calif., and returned last week to Seattle.

Prosecutors say Hicks killed 28-year-old Jennifer Morgan and their infant, Emma, Dec. 22 at their home.

With Tuesday’s arraignment, King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg now has 30 days to decide whether to seek the death penalty.
