Amboy man arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault

A 23-year-old Amboy man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault following a Sunday afternoon collision on State Route 503, according to a press release issued by the Washington State Patrol.

Aubrey D. Hunter was driving northbound when he crossed the highway's center line and collided head-on with Christopher L. Clark.

Clark was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center to receive treatment for a head laceration.

He was wearing a seat belt, while Hunter was not. Hunter refused treatment.

The collision took place six miles north of Amboy, near milepost 26.

In addition to a possible charge of vehicular assault, Hunter was also suspected of second-degree driving with a revoked license.

Alcohol was involved in the crash, according to the state patrol.
