Vancouver police late Monday night were looking for two men who reportedly robbed someone in a unit of the Fisher’s Mill Apartments, 1000 S.E. 160th Ave., near Fisher’s Landing.

The victim told 911 dispatchers two men had invaded his apartment and sought to tie him up when one of their guns discharged and they fled.

The victim was not believed hurt in the alleged home-invasion robbery.

Officers rushed to the scene about 10:15 p.m., according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Both robbers had handguns, according to preliminary reports.

A large number of Vancouver police officers converged on the area to look for the two men.

Police deployed a tracking dog to sniff out the alleged robbers.

At one point, officers were told that a man who matched the description of one robber had entered the Cactus Ya Ya restaurant on Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard and was behaving suspiciously.

An officer radioed that there was a possibility one robber was shot when the gun discharged, and asked emergency dispatchers to notify local hospitals.

At 11:15 p.m., however, police had reported no arrest.
