OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Prosecutors have charged an Oklahoma man with murdering his estranged wife and kidnapping her 7-year-old daughter.

Comanche County prosecutors on Tuesday charged 46-year-old Lester William Hobbs with first-degree murder in the beating death of Tonya Hobbs. Her body was found Sunday in his motor home in Geronimo.

They have charged Lester Hobbs with kidnapping in the disappearance of Tonya Hobbs’ youngest daughter, Aja (AY’-zhuh) Daniell Johnson.

Tonya Hobbs sought a protective order against Lester Hobbs in August claiming he threatened her daughters and vowed to kill her if she left him. An emergency order was granted but the case was later dismissed when neither Tonya nor Lester Hobbs appeared in court.
