LAKEWOOD, Wash. (AP) — A Lakewood police officer chasing a suspect crashed into parked cars in Tacoma.

The News Tribune of Tacoma reports the officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at St. Joseph Medical Center and released.

The chase began about 2:30 a.m. Thursday when the officer attempted to stop a car driven by a man wanted for a parole violation.

Police say the officer attempted the PIT maneuver three times and lost control of his cruiser on a corner.

Other officers found the suspect trying to flee on foot. He was bitten by a K-9, stunned with a Taser and finally tacked and taken into custody. He was treated at St. Joseph’s for a dog bite.
