HENLEY, England (AP) — Harvard defeated Georgetown by five lengths in the Prince Albert Cup for student coxed fours at the Henley Royal Regatta on the River Thames.

In the round of 16 of the Temple Cup for student eights, the University of Washington won by 214 lengths against Japan’s Nihon University. Grand Valley State University lost to Canada’s Brock University.

The Potomac Boat Club of Washington, D.C., rallied from a one-length deficit to beat England’s Durham Rowing Club to win its round of 16 race in the Thames Cup for club eights.

It’s the second day of racing in the five-day event.
