GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — A man accused of shooting at a Josephine County sheriff’s deputy and his dog outside Grants Pass has been arrested.
Authorities say Kelly L. Mason was arrested late Wednesday night near Kerby after deputies got a series of tips and staked out his campsite.
Deputies told The Grants Pass Daily Courier that Mason surrendered without incident.
Last Friday, the sheriff’s office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle outside Grants Pass and a man bolted, firing two shots as he fled.
