Motorcyclist dies following crash in Cougar

A 39-year-old Cougar man injured in an airborne motorcycle crash along state Highway 503 has died, according to an official at the Clark County Medical Examiner’s office.

Rory A. Witham died Tuesday of “multiple blunt force injuries,” sustained in the June 17 crash on the stretch of highway in Cougar that is also known as Lewis River Road.

Witham was pronounced dead at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday.

Witham was flown to Southwest Washington Medical Center by Life Flight helicopter after the crash. He had suffered a broken leg and internal injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
