DURBAN, South Africa (AP) — Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas could miss Wednesday’s World Cup semifinal match against Germany after getting hurt at practice.

The Spanish football federation says Fabregas had scans on his right leg after hurting it in a closed workout on Monday.

He will rest Tuesday and remain under observation.

Fabregas has played 93 minutes in three of Spain’s five matches so far, but is in contention for a starting spot against Germany after playing well in Spain’s quarterfinal win over Paraguay as a second-half replacement for striker Fernando Torres.
