The average price of self-serve regular gasoline in Vancouver was $2.94 a gallon on Tuesday, according to AAA Oregon/Idaho. That’s 1 cent less than last week and holding steady with last month’s prices. It is 12 cents higher than the average price last year.

The average price of diesel fuel is $3.22 a gallon, up 45 cents from this time last year. The national average for regular unleaded was down from a week ago by 3 cents to $2.72 per gallon and Washington’s average inched up 1 cent to $3.01.

AAA does not expect motorists to see any fallout at the pump from the Gulf oil spill, as fuel prices hold steady on weak demand and economists adjust their projections of economic growth downward.
