TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner was back at the ballpark after celebrating his 80th birthday earlier this week.
Steinbrenner, who spent his birthday last Sunday with family members, said he is “feeling good” after spending a couple hours Friday in his office at the Yankees’ spring training complex.
The Boss is also enjoying the play of his AL East-leading team, which is looking to win consecutive World Series championships this season.
Steinbrenner gave his sons, Hal and Hank, day-to-day control of the team in late 2007.
