BAGHDAD (AP) — A member of the Iraqi Football Association says an agreement has been reached with Wolfgang Sidka to take over as coach of the country’s national team.
Tariq Ahmed, deputy president of the association, says the German coach will take over officially at the end of July.
The 56-year-old Sidka, who previously coached Bahrain and Qatari clubs Al-Arabi and Al-Gharafa clubs, will replace Serbian coach Bora Milutinovic at the helm of the 2007 Asia Cup champion.
