GORST, Wash. (AP) — A woman was sitting on her living room couch with her baby next to her on pillows when a brick came through the window of the home in Gorst.

The woman told police the brick hit her 11-month-old son in the back of his head, causing an inch-long cut.

The woman’s roommate says she had heard a car pull up at the time, at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, and saw a woman in a hooded sweat shirt walk onto the porch of the duplex.

The Kitsap Sun reports both the mother and her roommate said they couldn’t think of anyone who would want to harm them.

The baby was treated at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma.
