WESTPORT, Wash. (AP) — Legislative candidate Tim Sutinen was doorbelling in Westport when he came to a small house that was listed as the home of 31 registered voters.
The Aberdeen Daily World reports Grays Harbor County elections officials are investigating. They have sent letters to the 31 voters asking them to confirm their address. Each receives mail at a post office box. If they don’t respond, they’ll be declared inactive and won’t get a ballot for the November election.
Grays Harbor County Auditor Vern Spatz suspects a computer glitch in the data base and says there’s no evidence that any voter has done anything wrong.
The county has 35,000 registered voters.
