SEATTLE (AP) — Boeing made a couple of announcements Wednesday at the Farnborough Airshow but the biggest order news came out of Seattle and Dallas where American Airlines announced orders for 35 Boeing 737s worth about $2.7 billion at list prices.

At Farnborough, Boeing named customers for orders previously attributed to unidentified customers. Qatar Airways is taking two 777s worth about $500 million and Air Austral is taking two 777s, also worth about $500 million.

On the first two days of the airshow Boeing announced orders for 151 planes worth about $18 billion. Most of the orders are for the popular 737.
