BUCKLEY, Wash. (AP) — The pilot of an ultralight aircraft was able to walk away after it flipped while making an emergency landing Thursday in a grassy field near Buckley.
The 77-year-old pilot, Kenneth Ovebey, told KIRO-TV the engine quit.
Witnesses pulled him out of the craft as fuel poured on his head. There was no fire.
Firefighters flipped the yellow ultralight upright and medics treated Overbey for cuts and scrapes.
