KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — Dave Villwock and Steve David have won their preliminary Columbia Cup heats on Saturday.
Villwock was the fastest qualifier with an average speed of 163.579 mph, while David averaged 146.679 mph in his win.
Nate Brown, driving Red Dot, took second behind David in the heat 1A race
Villwock of Spirit of Qatar took the lead at the start of heat 1B and was never seriously challenged.
