SEATTLE (AP) — The Coast Guard says six people were rescued after their recreational boat went aground in the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

The Coast Guard says there were no reported injuries or pollution from the grounding, which occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

A Coast Guard helicopter crew located the disabled Honey Bee and hoisted the four adults and two children on board other vessels at the scene.

The six were then transferred to a Coast Guard response boat that took the boaters to Bellingham.

The Coast Guard says a commercial salvage vessel will recover the Honey Bee.
