SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Maybesomaybenot led from gate to wire to win the $150,000 Sanford Stakes for 2-year-olds Sunday at Saratoga Race Course.

Julien Leparoux rode Maybesomaybenot, who ran six furlongs in 1:10.97 and was 112 lengths clear of Nacho Saint. Another Silver Oak was third of seven. Favored Bail Out the Cat was eliminated at the start when he broke awkwardly and well behind the field. A stewards inquiry determined that he was not impeded by the assistant starter.

The victory was the second in three starts for the Michael Maker-trained Maybesomaybenot, who earned $90,000 for owners Carolyn and Karen Scisney and paid $21.20, $10.60 and $7. Nacho Saint paid $7.50 and $4.80. Another Silver Oak paid $7.40 to show.

Earlier on the Saratoga card, jockey Javier Castellano rode the winners of five consecutive races.
