FORKS, Wash. (AP) — A five-hour standoff in the Olympic Peninsula town of Forks has ended with the discovery of two bodies.
Mayor Bryon Monohon told The Peninsula Daily News a Washington State Patrol SWAT team entered the home Monday and found the bodies of a man and woman from a well-known family.
Monohon several children who lived at the home are not injured.
Troopers, National Park Service rangers and Clallam County deputies had assisted Forks police in the standoff that began at 6:45 a.m.
