OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says a 90-year-old Olympia man was killed Sunday when his car rolled off a 120-foot bluff onto a beach at Budd Inlet.
The patrol says John Gilchrist Twelves was ejected and died at the scene.
Troopers and Thurston County sheriff’s deputies says Twelves had been canoeing and returned to his car parked at the Seashore Villa community. Instead of entering the road that led to the beach, the car crashed through the back of the carport and over the cliff.
