SAO PAULO (AP) — New Brazil coach Mano Menezes has chosen a young roster for the Selecao’s first match after the World Cup, picking Alexandre Pato, Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso for the Aug. 10 exhibition against the United States at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Only four of the players picked were on Brazil’s 23-man World Cup roster: Daniel Alves, Ramires, Thiago Silva and Robinho.

Kaka, Luis Fabiano and goalkeeper Julio Cesar were not selected Monday.

Menezes accepted the Brazil job on Saturday, a day after Fluminense would not release Muricy Ramalho from his contract.

Menezes replaced Dunga, fired after Brazil’s 2-1 loss to Netherlands in the World Cup quarterfinals.
