ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have signed second-round pick Lamarr Houston one day before players report to training camp.
With the contract for the defensive end announced Monday, the Raiders have signed all but one of their draft picks. The team hopes to have first-rounder Rolando McClain signed by the time the first training camp practice begins Thursday.
The Raiders picked Houston 44th overall in April’s draft. He is being counted on to help turn around a struggling run defense in Oakland. He is expected to play left defensive end for the Raiders after playing more at tackle in college at Texas.
