BURIN, West Bank (AP) — Israeli settlers clashed with Palestinians after entering their village in the northern West Bank, leaving 10 wounded.
Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says four settlers were hurt, one of them seriously. Palestinians say five villagers were hit by rocks and taken to hospital.
An AP photographer was lightly hurt by a rock.
Rosenfeld says that earlier Monday Israeli authorities demolished several illegal structures built by settlers in the area.
Extremist settlers often respond to demolitions by attacking Palestinians and their property, a policy they call “price tag.”
