FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) — A Federal Way police spokeswoman says police trying to stop a reported reckless driver attempted to pull the car over Monday night, only to have the driver speed off and eventually crash. The driver of the other car died; a passenger in that car has serious injuries and the driver who police say refused to stop is injured as well.

No one was immediately identified.

Spokeswoman Cathy Schrock says officers spotted the driver about 6:40 p.m. and signaled the vehicle to pull over, but the driver sped off southbound on Highway 99.
