SEATTLE (AP) — A Seattle man tried to hit a police officer with his Jeep and then drove off with his 18-month-old son unrestrained in the front seat.

The incident began Monday night, with police responding to a domestic violence threat against a 31-year-old woman in West Seattle. The man left before officers arrived but he was found in the parking lot of a convenience store.

When officers ordered him to stop, they say the man drove the Jeep at one of them. The Jeep was found later in an alley and police are looking for the man.

Police say he hasn’t threatened the boy and they do not believe he is in danger. The woman wasn’t hurt.
