PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon man has been arrested in the investigation into the illegal killing of a bighorn sheep in eastern Oregon.
The Oregon State Police said Thursday that 30-year-old Enoch Ray Robertson of Sweet Home was charged Wednesday with two counts of unlawful possession of a game mammal, one count for a bighorn sheep and the other for a bobcat hide.
Robertson was also charged with taking a blacktail doe deer in a closed season and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
The investigation started three weeks ago after state troopers in eastern Oregon received a report that a bighorn sheep was killed in late May in the Snake River area near Richland, Ore.
