SEATTLE (AP) — Six bicycle riders who crashed on streetcar tracks are suing the city of Seattle, claiming officials ignored the danger to bicycles.
The Seattle pi.com reports all six were hurt when their tires became stuck in a gap between rails and pavement on the south Lake Union line that opened in December 2007. Injuries included broken bones and chipped teeth.
City Transportation Department spokesman Rick Sheridan said he couldn’t comment on pending litigation.
