Police are on the lookout for a man who stole several guns from a Vancouver home Monday afternoon and escaped in a vehicle driven by an accomplice.

No one was hurt during the home-invasion at 4 p.m. in the 2500 block of Northeast 54th Street.

The suspect was armed and led a resident into the home’s basement where he took guns belonging to another housemate, according to Scott Bieber, a Vancouver Police Department spokesman.

The man who entered the house was armed with a semi-automatic pistol, Bieber said. He was described as a white man, ages 25 to 35, about six-foot tall and 220 pounds and had strawberry blond hair. He wore a solid baseball cap with no markings, Bieber said.

The suspect fled the scene in a black Acura driven by an accomplice who waited outside while the burglary unfolded.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department at 487-7399.
