FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Brek Shea scored twice within a 2-minute span in the second half to lift FC Dallas to a 2-0 win over San Jose on Saturday night.
Shea’s first goal in the 58th minute was started by a volley from Heath Pearce to David Ferreira, who dribbled around Chris Wondolowski and then tapped a pass from the goal line to Shea, who scored on a left-footed one-timer from the top of the goalie’s box.
Shea added another goal in the 60th minute when he raced past Earthquakes defender Chris Leitch and fired a right-footed shot into an empty net from 12 yards away.
FC Dallas (3-2-6) scored two goals in a game for the first time in seven games. San Jose (5-4-2) is winless in its last six matches against Dallas dating back to September 3, 2005.
