Clark County Fire District 6 will open its doors to the public today, providing an inside look at a Life Flight helicopter landing, extrication techniques and a mobile structure firefighters use to practice battling blazes.
The noon to 4 p.m. open house at the Hazel Dell station, 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave., will feature free food and low-cost bicycle helmets.
Parking is available across the street from the station, according to a news release announcing the event.
More than 3,000 attendees are expected.
