Search is on for overdue rafters on East Fork of Lewis River

Clark County Sheriff’s deputies and fire-rescue teams were called in Saturday night to search for three overdue rafters on the East Fork of the Lewis River near Daybreak Park.

The rafters – two children and one adult – were reported overdue about 8:25 p.m. Saturday from a rafting excursion on the East Fork, according to police radio transmissions.

Rescue crews with boats were called in to search the river.

No additional information was available as of 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
