Diamondbacks recall reliever Boyer from minors

PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled reliever Blaine Boyer from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday and designated right-hander Saul Rivera for assignment.
The 28-year-old Boyer was 1-0 with two saves and a 1.50 ERA in five relief appearances for the Aces. He was sent down on May 21 after posting a 1-2 record with a 7.82 ERA and 11 walks in 14 relief appearances for Arizona.
The 32-year-old Rivera had a 22.09 ERA in four relief appearances for the Diamondbacks this season.
